Every way into Profixio — password, Google, Facebook and Idrettens ID, one-time codes by e-mail or SMS, and a tournament's shared results password — plus creating an account, resetting a password, choosing which role you work in, editing your profile and deleting your account.

Looking for something else? Finding and creating a person Things to ask Profixio support for

You have one Profixio account, and it is identified by your e-mail address. The same account is used for everything you do in Profixio — registering a team, running a tournament, refereeing, buying licences, following your club in the app.

There is one sign-in page for the whole system: /login. Older sign-in addresses, including the sign-in form on the legacy pages, now send you to that page instead.

Sign in with the e-mail address your club or federation registered for you. If your club has registered you with a different address than the one you signed up with, you will get in but see nothing.

There are four ways through the door:

  • your e-mail address and a Profixio password,
  • Google, Facebook or Idrettens ID,
  • a temporary code sent by e-mail or SMS, if you have forgotten your password,
  • a tournament's shared results password, which is not an account at all and only lets you register results for that tournament.

After signing in you may be asked for a 6-digit verification code, and — if your e-mail is registered in more than one place — to choose which role you want to work in.

  1. Go to /login. The top of the page shows Sign in with and a row of buttons: Idrettens ID (only where it is switched on), Google, Facebook and Profixio. Some tournaments also show a Referee button.
  2. Click Profixio to open the ordinary form.
  3. Fill in Email address and Password and click Log in.

If it fails you get one message — "Did you type the correct email and password?" — no matter whether the password was wrong, no account exists with that address, or the account has been deactivated. That is deliberate: Profixio does not reveal which of the three it was.

After several failed attempts you are locked out for a short while and told "Too many login attempts.", together with how many seconds to wait before you try again. Repeated attempts in a burst are also slowed down on purpose, so a page that feels sluggish after several wrong passwords is working as intended.

Under the form there is a Forgot your password? link.

Two things worth knowing:

  • Accounts created in a federation's administration system also work here. If your e-mail and password exist there but you have never used Profixio, signing in works anyway and the matching Profixio account is created for you at that moment.
  • Old passwords keep working. You never need to reset a password just because it is old.

You stay signed in after closing the browser — Profixio always remembers you, there is no "remember me" box to tick.

The buttons at the top of /login — Google, Facebook and Idrettens ID — sign you in without a Profixio password. Idrettens ID is only shown where it has been configured; Google and Facebook are always shown.

Your account. Sign in with the provider that uses the same e-mail address as your Profixio account:

  • If you already have a Profixio account on that address, you keep it, with your history and your access — you have simply added a new way to sign in.
  • If no account exists, one is created for you from the name and e-mail on the provider profile. There is no separate sign-up step for social login.

Because everything hangs off the e-mail address, sign-in only works if the provider actually returns one. If your Google or Facebook profile has no e-mail address attached, and you have not used that provider here before, nothing is created and you are simply returned to the login page with no explanation. Other failures during the handover do show "Login failed."

If you later forget you used a provider. The Forgot your password? page recognises it and says "You have previously signed in using ...", showing the provider button instead of sending a reset. You can still create a Profixio password for the same account if you prefer.

In the Profixio app. Google and Facebook use the phone's own sign-in rather than opening a browser window, so the experience differs slightly from the website.

There is no "Sign in with Apple". Profixio does not offer Apple as a sign-in provider on any platform. On an iPhone or iPad you sign in with Google, Facebook, Idrettens ID, or your e-mail address and password.

Go to /registration — the Haven't signed up yet? link on the login page — and fill in Name, Email address, Phone, Password and Confirm Password.

  • The e-mail address must be a real, deliverable address: Profixio checks that the domain exists.
  • It must not already have a Profixio account. If it does, use Forgot your password? rather than registering again — a second account on a second address is the usual reason people cannot see their club afterwards.
  • The password must be at least 4 characters and match the confirmation.

You are then signed in, and the first page that requires a verified session asks for a 6-digit verification code. Where you land depends on what you already have access to.

Two shortcuts create the account for you:

  • Signing in with Google, Facebook or Idrettens ID creates an account on the spot if none exists.
  • The activation e-mail a club receives lets the club's contact person create an account straight from it, and the account can be used to register the club's teams for leagues. If that e-mail already has a Profixio account, you are told "You already have a Profixio Account, but you must click the button to become administrator for ..." and click Set me as administrator.

Creating an account does not, by itself, give you access to anything. Access comes from being registered as a club, district or federation user, from being registered as a referee, or from being added to a tournament by its organiser.

Click Forgot your password? on the login page. The page has one field, E-mail or phone number, and two buttons: Request by email and Request by sms.

By e-mail. You get a link that is valid for one day. It opens a page headed "New password for ..." with New password (*) and Confirm password (*) — minimum 4 characters — and a Reset password button. If the link is too old or has already been used you see "Password reset link expired" or "Invalid password reset link", with a Request new password reset button.

By SMS. You get a temporary password valid for one hour. Type it into Sms password. A wrong code is rejected with "password incorrect"; an old one with "The password has expired. Please request a new temporary password". Once the code is accepted you have an hour to set the new password (Password, Password confirmation, Save password).

The SMS route only works if the mobile number you type matches the number stored on your account. If it does not, ask Profixio support or your club administrator to correct the number first.

Requesting a new link or code invalidates the previous one, so always use the newest e-mail you received.

If your account signs in through Google, Facebook or Idrettens ID, this page tells you so and offers the provider button instead. You may still set a Profixio password for the same account if you want a second way in.

Some parts of Profixio require your session to be verified before you can continue. When that happens you are taken to a page that says "A 6-digit code has been sent to: " followed by your e-mail address, with the time the code expires.

  • The code is valid for 20 minutes.
  • You get 2 attempts. After that the code entry is replaced by a Send New Code button, even if the code has not yet expired.
  • A wrong code gives "Invalid verification code"; an old one gives "Verification code has expired. Please request a new one."
  • If your account has a mobile number of at least 8 digits, you are offered Send code via SMS? and a Send Code to Phone button. Sending by SMS gives you a fresh code and fresh attempts.

Once verified, the browser you are using is remembered for six months, so on your own computer or phone you normally do this once and never think about it again. Signing in on a new device, or clearing your cookies, brings it back.

Changing your e-mail address or your mobile number in your profile clears that confirmation, and you are asked for a code again the next time it is needed.

This is not an "activate your account" e-mail. The code appears whenever you open a part of Profixio that requires a verified session, also on a new account.

Some tournaments hand out a single password to everyone who registers results at the venue, so that scorekeepers and referees do not each need a Profixio account.

When a tournament has switched this on, a Referee button appears next to Google, Facebook and Profixio on that tournament's login page. It opens a small form headed Login to register results with two fields — Res passord and Your name — and a Sign in button. The name you type is stored alongside the results you register, so the organiser can see who reported what.

This is not an account:

  • there is no e-mail address and no password reset,
  • it lasts for that browser session only,
  • Log out of results registration ends it,
  • everyone shares the same password, so change it after the tournament.

For organisers. The password is a field in the tournament's settings. It appears in two places — on Main Settings under Sport Settings, and on the Referee settings page — and both edit the same value. The toggle next to it is what puts the Referee button on the login page. If you switch the toggle on and leave the password blank, the settings page warns you: "The tournament must set the res-password in order for the shared password login to work".

Registering results this way gives permission to enter results for that tournament only. It gives no access to settings, teams, invoices or any other tournament.

Open /profile from the user menu. You can change:

  • Navn — the name shown next to your account,
  • Email,
  • Phone,
  • Photo — an image file, used as your avatar.

If you sign in through a provider, the page shows Signed in using: and the provider, and you have no password to change.

Changing your password. Click Change password to reveal Existing Password, Password and Password Confirmation. The current password is checked; if it is wrong you get "The current password is incorrect." The new one must be at least 4 characters, must match the confirmation, and must be different from the old one. Save confirms with a brief Saved!.

Changing your e-mail address is not a cosmetic change. Use the address your club or federation registered for you; with any other address, your club and roles will not be there. You will also be asked for a fresh verification code afterwards. If you are registered as a referee, the address on your referee record is updated to match.

Changing your phone number likewise clears the SMS confirmation on your account.

Sign out is on the same page, and at /logout.

At the bottom of your profile there is a Delete account section:

"This removes your Profixio account and anonymizes personal data connected to it. Tournament history and legally required logs may be retained without your contact information."

Click Delete my account and confirm:

  • if you sign in with a password, you type your password again,
  • if you sign in with Google, Facebook or Idrettens ID, a 6-digit code is e-mailed to you instead. It is valid for 20 minutes, and Send a new code can be used once a minute.

Five wrong attempts throttle the confirmation for a while.

What actually happens. Your account is anonymised, not wiped from the database. Your name, e-mail address, phone number and photo are removed. Records that must be kept are kept without you attached to them: results, tables and squad lists stay so that other people's competition history survives, and invoices, billed licences and transfers are retained for six years because accounting law requires it. Every step is written to a compliance log.

It cannot be undone. You are signed out and returned to the login page.

If something goes wrong you are told "Could not delete account" and "Please contact support." and your account is left working.

Deleting your account is not the same as having your name removed from the sports registry. See the next section.

Shared-password login toggle Puts the Referee shared-password button on that tournament's login page. Has no impact while the shared results password is blank Same two settings pages
Active/inactive flag on a user Turned off, the account cannot sign in anywhere. Used to lock someone out without deleting them. New accounts are created active Contact Profixio support to change it. The same flag is also a checkbox on the league-registration administrators list

"Did you type the correct email and password?" — this one message covers three different situations: the password is wrong, no account exists on that e-mail address, or the account has been deactivated. Try the password reset first. If the address belongs to an account, you get an e-mail with a reset link; if you can set a new password but sign-in still fails, the account has been deactivated — contact Profixio support to have it switched back on.

"Too many login attempts." — wait a couple of minutes and try again. Nothing is wrong and nothing is locked permanently.

You signed up with Google or Facebook and the password does not get you in. You never had a password. Use the same button you used the first time, or create a password from Forgot your password?.

You can sign in but nothing you expect is there. Almost always the e-mail address. If your club or federation registered you as [email protected] and you signed up as [email protected], you have a perfectly valid account with nothing attached. Either have the club or federation change the registered address, or change the address on your profile to match.

You have several roles and the pages keep changing. You are in the wrong role. Open My Profixio and pick the right one.

Your referee role is missing. Your referee record has to be active in that federation. Set inactive or passive, the role disappears from the list.

The verification code never arrives. Check the spam folder, then use Send code via SMS? if your mobile number is stored. Remember the code only lives 20 minutes and allows two attempts.

The SMS password reset does nothing. The number you type has to match the number stored on your account.

You are signed out for no reason. Sessions do end, and Profixio does not display a message when they do — you are simply returned to the login page. If a page seems stuck or asks you to refresh after being left open a long time, reload it and sign in again.

A colleague can sign in but cannot open a tournament's screens. That is permissions inside the tournament, not the account. See the tournament roles and permissions page.

This page is about getting into Profixio and about the account itself. Neighbouring topics have their own pages:

  • Giving people access to a tournament — adding staff to one tournament and deciding what each of them may do. Being signed in is not the same as being permitted.
  • The club register and club administrators — how a club gets its administrators, the activation e-mails clubs receive, and what a club administrator can do.
  • Federations, districts and base data — what each federation, district and club role actually gives you once you have selected it.
  • The referee's own pages — what a referee sees after signing in, including assignments, availability and anonymity.
  • Finding and creating a person — how people are looked up in the national registry, and how duplicates are resolved.
  • The Profixio app — installing it, notifications and the differences from the website.

For other roles

If your e-mail address is registered in more than one place — say you are a club administrator and also a referee, or you administer two federations — Profixio asks which of those roles you want to work in. What you can see and do changes with the choice.

You do not create these roles yourself. They come from where you are registered:

Role, as it is labelled Where it comes from
League Admin Registered as a user of a federation
District Registered as a user of a district
Club Registered as a user of a club
Referee/official Registered as a referee, and that referee record is still active
Referee assigner Given a referee-assignment group in a federation
Guest Access Given guest access to a federation's pages
Player Registered as a player in a club, with a team place or a licence

Where to change it. Open My Profixio — in the user menu and in the side menu. It is also a card on the administration dashboard. The box is headed Roles in FX; pick from the dropdown and click Continue. Underneath it tells you Current role: with the name of the role you are in now.

The options read like "Club - Example IF (SHF.SE.HB)" or "District - ...". A referee entry also shows the person's name, so someone who administers referee duties for two different people can tell them apart.

What switching does. It changes which menus, pages and administration screens you can reach, and it clears the tournament and season you were working in — treat it as starting fresh rather than as a filter. You are returned to the page you came from, or to My Profixio if the new role has no administration dashboard.

If the box does not appear at all, your e-mail address is not registered anywhere yet. If a role you expect is missing, the registration is on a different e-mail address, or — for a referee role — the referee record has been set inactive or passive in that federation.

Choosing a role is not the same as being given permissions inside a single tournament; see the separate page on tournament roles and permissions.

Profixio holds two separate records about you, and they are only loosely connected.

Your account is how you sign in: e-mail address, password or linked provider, favourites, app notifications, and your roles.

Your person record lives in the federation's registry: licences, club membership, transfers, your referee record, and your participation in matches. Many people have a person record and have never created an account — a player registered by a club, for example. Many accounts have no person record — a tournament organiser who does not play.

Deleting your account removes the way in. It does not remove you from squad lists, results or licence records, because those belong to the federation's registry.

A full erasure request covers both. Contact Profixio support to request a full erasure.

An erasure request therefore has to name both records explicitly, which is why support may ask you to confirm details that seem obvious.

Beyond the login page, there are other ways into Profixio and on to connected systems. You may meet them.

  • Handoff from a federation's administration system. You go from that system straight into Profixio, and a Profixio account is created for you if you have never used Profixio before.
  • Links onward from My Profixio. FX - Sign in, Login League, Login Organizer and TX Scheduler carry your session into connected systems. Each is shown only if you have access to that system, and League and TX Scheduler require you to pass the 6-digit verification code first.
  • Some links in e-mails take you straight into Profixio. If one says "The link has expired because the password has been changed since you got the link", sign in on the login page instead.
  • Old tournament-administration links no longer work. Messages such as "New administration link for your tournament" and the pages that mention a "TX Client Program" belong to a desktop program that is gone; the links behind them do nothing. Tournament administration today is an ordinary Profixio account plus permissions on that tournament.
