Federation and district pages
The public entry point for a whole federation or district: the matches being played today, the federation's series and divisions, its clubs, its districts, and the filters a visitor uses to narrow all of that down to the season, district or club they care about.

Every federation in Profixio has a public page of its own, and every district under it has one too. These are the redesigned pages — the ones people meet inside the Profixio app — but they are ordinary web pages, open to anyone, signed in or not.
A federation page gathers the federation's public information into tabs:
- Home — the matches being played on one chosen day, anywhere in the federation.
- Matches — a season-wide match search with a date range, club, venue and match number. This tab is optional and is not always shown.
- Competitions — the federation's series and divisions.
- Clubs — the federation's clubs, with a link to each club's own page.
- Districts — a shortcut list to each district's page.
- Search — matches and teams within this federation. This tab is optional and is not always shown.
A district page is the same page narrowed to one district: Home, Competitions and Clubs, all limited to that district. District pages never have the Matches or Search tabs, and they have no Districts tab of their own.
These pages cover series and league play. Cups and stand-alone tournaments keep their own, separate public site — see The public tournament pages.
There are four ways in, and you do not need an account for any of them.
- From the Profixio front page. The start page lists the federations that publish their series, each with its logo. Clicking one opens that federation's page.
- From the app. If you open the Profixio app and you are not currently working inside a competition, the app takes you to your federation's page. Administrators with a federation, district or club role land on their administration pages instead.
- From a competition, club, venue or team page. The page title in the top bar is a button. Open it and the first step of the trail is the federation; the second, when there is one, is the district.
- By address. Every federation and district page has its own web address, which you can bookmark or share.
A district address only works with its own federation. Combining a federation with a district that belongs to somebody else gives a "page not found", which is deliberate.
The Home tab answers "what is being played today?" for the whole federation, or for one district on a district page.
The date bar. On a computer, the bar along the top shows seven consecutive days; when the page opens, it starts two days before the chosen day. The arrows on either side move a whole week back or forward, and the calendar button opens a date picker for any date. On a phone the bar shows the chosen day, the arrows step one day back or forward, and tapping the day opens the date picker. Picking a day reloads the list; the heading reads Matches today for today and the date otherwise. Picking a day also clears any filters you have chosen.
The list. Matches are grouped so that all of one competition's matches stay together, ordered by district, then by the federation's own ordering of its series, then by kick-off time. Long lists load more as you scroll — there is no page number and no "next" button. When there is nothing to show the list says No matches available.
The filter. The Filter button opens a panel with:
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Choose club | Only matches where that club is playing |
| Choose district | Only matches in that district. Not shown on a district page, which is already narrowed |
| Choose field | Only matches at that venue |
| All matches | Switch between All matches, Upcoming matches, Played matches and Live matches |
| Favorites | Only matches involving teams you have starred, or in competitions you have starred |
Chosen filters appear as chips under Your active filters: and are cleared one by one, or all at once with Reset filters. Apply filters closes the panel. Next to the Filter button are the Favorites and Live shortcuts, which switch those filters on and off directly.
Only matches that have a kick-off time set appear here. A fixture that a club has not yet scheduled is not in this list — see Hiding matches, schedules and results from the public.
The Matches tab is an optional extra tab. Where Home shows one day, this tab searches across a season.
The filters run along the top:
| Filter | Notes |
|---|---|
| Season | Defaults to the federation's current season |
| District or League category | Which of the two appears is decided per federation — see Differences per sport and federation |
| From and To | A date range. Both default to today, so widen them to see more than one day |
| All facilities | Venue |
| All clubs | Club |
| Filter match number | Type a match number to jump straight to it |
Above the results you get either a match count or No matches found. Two buttons sit next to it: one switches the grouping between by date and by competition, the other downloads the current result as an Excel file. The Excel download is open to everyone — it exports exactly what the filters have selected, nothing more.
Appointed referees are shown on the match cards here, but only for divisions where the federation publishes referee names and only once the appointment has been published to the referee. See Appointing referees to series matches.
The tab is switched on or off for all federation pages at once. If it is missing, use Home with the day strip, or the Search tab where that exists.
The Competitions tab is the list of series and divisions. It is where a visitor looks for a league, because leagues do not appear in the ordinary tournament search.
The table has four columns: Competition, Category, Federation/District and Season. The middle column shows the district that administers the series, or the federation's own level name when no district does. Each row has a star for adding the series to your favourites, which works without signing in.
Narrowing the list. A search box above the table matches on the competition name. The filter panel adds Choose district (not shown on a district page), Choose season, Choose competitions and a Favorites filter that reduces the list to starred ones.
Two things surprise people:
- The list starts on the current season. A series you remember from last year is not deleted — change the season first.
- The list shows at most 200 competitions and does not page. A very large federation therefore needs the district, season or name filter to reach everything.
On a district page the list is already limited to that district, so the district filter is gone. Series that the federation administers itself, rather than through a district, appear only on the federation page — never on a district page.
Only series and divisions are listed. Cups and stand-alone tournaments are found through ordinary search — see Searching and finding what you are looking for.
The Clubs tab lists the federation's clubs, or one district's clubs on a district page.
Each row shows the club's logo and name, its district (only on the federation page), its town and the number of active members registered on it. The name links to the club's own page, which has the club's teams, matches and squads — see Club, team and player pages.
A search box matches on the club's name and short name.
Two rules decide whether a club is here at all:
- The club must be active. Clubs that have been closed down are left out.
- The club must belong to an active district of the federation. A club with no district, or one attached to a district that has been switched off, will not appear even though it exists and can still be found by ordinary search.
Federations that use the international transfer module do not get a Clubs tab; that place in the tab row is taken by International transfer instead.
The Districts tab on a federation page is not a list of matches — it opens a row of links, one per district. Clicking one opens that district's own page.
Only active districts are listed. A district that has been switched off in the base data disappears from this row, and from the district filters, although its page can still be opened directly by address.
A district page shows the same three things as the federation page, all limited to that district:
- Home — the day view, only that district's matches.
- Competitions — only series administered by that district.
- Clubs — only clubs belonging to that district.
Which competitions count as a district's? It is the district that administers the series, not the clubs' home districts. A series run by the federation centrally belongs to no district and appears only on the federation page.
Districts do not have a logo of their own on these pages: the banner shows the district's name with the federation's logo beside it, and a link back up to the federation.
Federations that use the international transfer module do not get a Districts tab.
A federation page can have a Search tab. It is the ordinary Profixio search, permanently limited to that federation, and with only two result tabs: Matches and Teams. Matches can be narrowed to Upcoming, Played or All.
Because it is limited to one federation, it is the quickest way to find a fixture when you know a team name but not the division.
The full search, with competitions and clubs as well, is always available from the magnifying glass in the bottom bar. Searching and finding what you are looking for describes it.
If there is no Search tab, it has not been switched on — see Settings and behaviour.
Almost everything on these pages is tied to a season.
- The Competitions tab and the Matches tab both open on the federation's current season — the one the federation has marked as active.
- The season pickers list the federation's seasons newest first. Seasons that the federation has hidden, or that have no name, are left out.
- Once you change season, it follows you around the federation's pages during that visit.
- The Home day view is not season-based at all. It works from the calendar date, so it will happily show a match from a season you are not currently browsing.
If a competition, a table or a club's fixtures look empty, check the season before anything else. Old seasons are kept, not deleted.
These pages are the same pages in the app and in a browser; the app is just where most people meet them.
- Where the app opens. Without a current competition and without an administrator role, the app opens on your federation's page. If there is no federation to open, it opens on tournament search.
- Opening a competition changes context. Once you open a series, the app remembers it and will open there next time. Use the title menu or search to move back up to the federation.
- Navigation depth. The app wrapper keeps its own idea of how deep you are. Moving federation → district → competition → team builds up that depth, and the phone's back button walks back through it rather than reloading pages.
- Tabs are addresses. Each tab has its own address, so a link to a federation's Competitions tab opens on that tab, and the back button steps between tabs.
The Profixio app on your phone covers favourites, push notifications and signing in on a phone.
The pages are the same everywhere; four things differ.
Districts or league categories. By default the Matches tab filters by District. Federations that organise their series by level rather than by geography can have that replaced with a League category picker instead. Only one of the two is ever shown, and it is set per federation.
Federations without districts. A federation can run everything centrally. Their Districts row is empty and every series appears on the federation page only.
Federations that use international transfers. In these federations the Clubs and Districts tabs are replaced by an International transfer tab that opens the transfer request form. See International transfers.
Per sport, not per federation. Publishing series to the app is set per federation and per sport. A federation running two sports can have one published and the other not — and then half of its competitions are invisible on its own page while the other half are fine.
Anything beyond this — which age groups are published, whether results are shown, when a season is switched over — is federation policy carried out through ordinary settings.
- A club's own page, its teams, squads and player profiles — Club, team and player pages.
- A single competition's pages: schedule, tables, playoff tree, statistics — The public tournament pages and Series tables and standings.
- Cups and stand-alone tournaments. They are not on these pages at all; links to a cup are sent on to its own site — The public tournament pages.
- Search across all of Profixio, favourites and calendar feeds — Searching and finding what you are looking for.
- Why a match or result is hidden — Hiding matches, schedules and results from the public.
- Creating districts, federation users and other base data — Federations, districts, sports and other base data.
- A tournament's own website, news articles and sponsors. See The tournament website: front page, pages, news and sponsors.
- Uploading a club logo — Uploading a club logo.
For other roles
Every federation has these pages. The pages are always available and public. What varies between federations is whether their competitions have been published to the app at all — see Settings and behaviour.
What actually controls these pages, and who can change it.
| Setting | What it does | Where | Also means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Show the sport's series in the app | The master switch. With it off, none of the federation's series appear on the Competitions tab, in the app, or in the front-page federation list. It is set per federation and per sport | Set per federation and sport. Contact Profixio support to change it. | A federation with two sports can publish one and not the other |
| Federation is active | An inactive federation's series disappear from the public lists entirely | Contact Profixio support to change it. | Also removes the federation from the front page |
| Series play enabled, and a short name on the federation | Both are needed for the federation to be listed on the Profixio front page | Contact Profixio support to change them. | The federation's page still works if you go straight to its address |
| Hide this series in search results | Set on a single series. Hides it from the Competitions tab and from the app | Series administration | Also makes the series' own public page return "page not found" |
| District is active | Inactive districts vanish from the Districts row, from district filters and from the club list | Base data administration | Their clubs disappear from the Clubs tab as well |
| Match list filter: district or league category | Decides whether the Matches tab offers a District picker or a League category picker | Set per federation. Contact Profixio support to change it. | Only one of the two is ever active |
| Matches tab | Shows or hides the season-wide Matches tab on federation pages | The same for all federations at once | There is no per-federation version of this switch |
| Search tab | Shows or hides the Search tab on federation pages | The same for all federations at once | Same restriction |
| Advertising unit on the federation | Shows an ad banner at the top of the federation page | Contact Profixio support to change it. | Federation page only, not district pages |
| Federation logo (light and dark) | The logo in the banner and in the app header | Set per federation. Contact Profixio support to change it. | SVG gives the best result |
| Publish referee names for a division | Decides whether appointed referees are shown on the match cards | Series administration | Unpublished appointments stay hidden even when the division publishes names |
The short version for a federation administrator: almost nothing on these pages is self-service. Where the table says so, contact Profixio support to change a switch. What a federation can control itself is which series exist, which season is current, whether a series is hidden, whether referee names are published, and the districts it maintains.
Work down this list in order.
The whole federation is missing from the front page. Its sport is not published to the app, the federation is not marked active, or it has no short name. Contact Profixio support to change them. The federation's page itself still opens if you go straight to its address.
A series is missing from the Competitions tab.
- Wrong season — the list opens on the current season.
- The series is hidden from search on its own settings.
- The federation's sport is not published to the app.
- The list stops at 200 rows; narrow it with the district, season or name filter.
- The series has no division behind it, so it is a cup or stand-alone tournament and belongs in ordinary search instead.
A series shows on the federation page but not on our district page. The series is administered by the federation centrally, not by the district. Only series with an administering district appear on that district's page.
A club is missing from the Clubs tab. The club is not active, or it is not attached to an active district. Both are fixed in the club register and the base data, not on this page.
A match is missing from the Home day view.
- It has no kick-off time yet — most often it is still waiting for the home club to schedule it.
- It is hidden, or its class is closed. See Hiding matches, schedules and results from the public.
- A filter is still active. Check the chips under Your active filters:.
- You are on the wrong day; pick the match's date in the date bar.
The Matches or Search tab is missing. Those two tabs are switched on for all federations at once, and district pages never have them.
Referees are missing from the match cards. The division does not publish referee names, or the appointment has not been published to the referee yet.
A change I made is not visible. Match lists refresh within about five to seven minutes, competition lists within half an hour, club lists and day strips within an hour.
