Who / what is the system suitable for?
The target group is organizations that arrange leagues in team sports. Regardless of sport or level.
Profixio LEAGUE is developed for top leagues as well as for grassroots & youth sports. The system is used by several Nordic top leagues in, for example, football, basketball, bandy and volleyball.
The system provides suggestions for game order in top leagues and schedules broad sports at the correct time and place.
What does the system handle?
Broadly speaking, it is about 12 parameters that can be specified and thus control a game order.

How does the optimization really work?
The mathematical engine that forms the basis of Profixio LEAGUE is based on advanced mathematical algorithms developed by one of Europe’s largest research institutes, SINTEF. This engine is the result of one of the world’s largest research projects in Sports Scheduling.
In addition to entering basic data such as team, type of leagues and rounds / game dates, the user enters the conditions in the form of parameters that are relevant for their particular league. The system then optimizes a fixture based on the set parameters and can notify the user via SMS when there are fixtures to take part in.
How is a league quality assured?
A visual overview of the fixture is given with information about fulfilled / unfulfilled parameters.
A fixture is presented in a table with complete information on its own website.
The fixture/league schedule can also be exported in their entirety to, for example, Excel.
Scheduling is about optimizing a result based on given criteria. That until today it has been a complex and time-consuming work rarely needs to be supported, but for the sake of clarity we still want to give an example.
If 16 teams are to face each other twice, there are more than 1.3 trillion alternative solutions to choose from, which speaks for itself. Finding the most optimal game program for your league’s specific wishes and requirements on your own is undeniably a tough nut to crack!
To put it mildly: there are big downsides to letting the human brain determine the conditions and AI is responsible for the optimization work. Examples of upsides are that the leagues layout becomes more flexible, runs considerably faster and not least the quality of your fixture/league schedule is guaranteed to be higher!

In many sports, leagues has a central role. This means that the actual league layout is extremely important for various stakeholders such as teams, fans, TV companies and security authorities – in other words, the quality of a game schedule has a great impact on both the league / league and the team’s finances!
TV companies and sponsors are often willing to pay a higher price if the game program meets their wishes, for example that audience matches and the derby are scheduled on attractive days or that matches between certain teams are to be spread over the season or played during specific rounds. These wishes are also important for fans when deciding on ticket purchases.
For the team, it is important that the game program is fair, ie the number of breaks is evenly distributed and that, for example, you do not start or end a series with one break (two home or away matches in a row).
A well-developed optimized gaming program can, in addition to reduced travel costs, lead to a higher interest among fans and audiences, which in turn contributes to higher audience revenues and greater opportunities to attract sponsors and partners!
